The DT830D is a compact, low-cost pocket digital multimeter built around the ICL7106 IC, paired with a 3½-digit, 7-segment LCD display (max reading 1999). It measures DC voltage (0.1mV–1000V), AC voltage (0.1V–750V), DC current (0.1mA–10A), resistance (0.1Ω–2MΩ), diode forward voltage drop, and hFE for both NPN and PNP bipolar transistors, with a built-in continuity buzzer (the key feature distinguishing the “D” variant from the base DT830B, which lacks the buzzer). It includes overload protection via a fuse, a low-battery indicator, and operates across a wide -20°C to 75°C temperature range. Made from durable ABS plastic in a compact, pocket-friendly form factor, it’s powered by a 9V battery and comes with test probe leads — a good fit for school, home, and light factory/DIY use.
