The BC547 (420-800 gain range, i.e. BC547C) is a general-purpose NPN silicon transistor manufactured by JCET, widely used for amplification and switching applications. It’s rated for a maximum collector-emitter voltage of 50V, power dissipation of 625mW, and continuous collector current of 100mA, with a high DC current gain of 110 (typical, tested at 2mA/5V) and a gain range up to 800 for this “C” grade variant. It has a transition frequency of 150MHz and collector-emitter saturation voltage of 300mV, housed in a TO-92-3 package. Operating temperature range is -55°C to +150°C, RoHS compliant.
