The ATmega1284P-AU is a low-power CMOS 8-bit microcontroller based on the AVR enhanced RISC architecture, achieving throughputs close to 1 MIPS per MHz by executing powerful instructions in a single clock cycle. It combines 128KB ISP flash memory with read-while-write capability, 4KB EEPROM, 16KB SRAM, 32 general-purpose I/O lines, and 32 general-purpose working registers, along with a real-time counter, three flexible timer/counters with compare modes and PWM, two USARTs, a byte-oriented 2-wire serial interface (I2C), an 8-channel 10-bit A/D converter with optional differential input and programmable gain, a programmable watchdog timer, an SPI serial port, and a JTAG interface for on-chip debugging and programming. It operates between 1.8V and 5.5V with six software-selectable power-saving modes, packaged in the 44-pin TQFP surface-mount format, RoHS3 compliant.
