AMS1117-3.3V fixed-output low dropout (LDO) linear voltage regulator, 1A, SOT-223 SMD package. Fixed 3.3V output with 1.3V max dropout at full load. Includes thermal shutdown and current-limit protection for stable, low-cost regulation.
The AMS1117-3.3V is a fixed-output, low dropout three-terminal linear regulator delivering up to 1A output current, with the ability to operate down to a 1V input-to-output differential. The dropout voltage is guaranteed to a maximum of 1.3V, decreasing at lower load currents, and on-chip trimming adjusts the reference voltage to within ±1.5%. Built-in current limiting minimizes stress on both the regulator and power source under overload conditions, and thermal shutdown protects against excessive junction temperature. Packaged in the low-profile SOT-223 surface-mount format, it’s widely used for regulating 3.3V logic rails in microcontroller and embedded designs.
